Osprey Lake is the largest lake on the Brough Complex at about 18 acres in size. It has been developed as a big carp water. The complete Brough Complex site is protected with an otter fence.
Fishing on this lake is only available to holders of an Osprey Permit, which are currently limited to a maximum of 45 and regulated through a waiting list. You can apply to be added to the waiting list via this website. The waiting is also available to view and is regularly updated on this website.
As stated it is primarily a big carp water, however the lake also contains some rudd, roach, pike, perch and eels.

The old access road to the Brough Complex, through the railway crossing, has been removed as part of the housing development. The new access is now over a railway bridge in Brough, that takes you through the most recently built houses where you eventually turn right onto the old (bumpy) Common Lane road down to the ponds. See the map on the home page of this website.
