Safeguarding & Welfare

H&DAA is fully committed to providing a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all members, visitors, junior anglers and vulnerable adults.

As proud members of the Angling Trust, H&DAA fully supports and follows the safeguarding principles, procedures and best practice guidance outlined within the official Angling Trust Safeguarding Policy.

Safeguarding is a responsibility shared by every member, volunteer, official and visitor. H&DAA believes that everybody has the right to participate in angling within a safe, respectful and positive environment, free from abuse, bullying, intimidation, discrimination or neglect.

We are committed to promoting the welfare and wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults across all Association waters, matches, coaching sessions and events. Any safeguarding concerns raised will be treated seriously, sensitively and confidentially, and where appropriate referred in accordance with Angling Trust safeguarding procedures.
