Blue Lagoon
A productive mixed fishery offering excellent silver-fish and bream sport, with plenty of bites making it a particularly good venue for beginners.
Blue Lagoon is a mixed stillwater with a good variety of species including bream, tench, roach, rudd, perch, pike, eels, chub and some carp.
The venue is particularly known for producing big bags of silver fish and bream. It can provide plenty of action and is a good choice for members who prefer regular bites rather than specifically targeting specimen carp.
With parking close to the water and some more accessible fishing positions, Blue Lagoon is also partly suitable for anglers with limited mobility.

Blue Lagoon is particularly good for anglers looking for regular action. Big bags of silver fish and bream are possible and the water can provide a genuine “fish a chuck” experience when conditions are right.
Carp are present, but members should not approach Blue Lagoon expecting a heavily stocked carp water. Its strength is the variety of fishing available and the opportunity to put together a good mixed bag.

Access & Parking
Head towards Broomfleet and turn right at the village hall. Continue along the road past the houses before taking the sharp right at the old school house.
Follow the winding track towards the canal wall and continue to the Blue Lagoon parking areas.
There are two car parks available: a smaller upper car park and a larger lower car park.
Accessibility & Facilities
Blue Lagoon is partly suitable for anglers with limited mobility. Parking is available close to the venue and there are accessible fishing positions.

The high level of fish activity and variety of species make Blue Lagoon particularly suitable for newer anglers wanting to develop their skills and enjoy regular bites.
Safety & Respect
Blue Lagoon is a deep water and members should take normal precautions around the banks. Some areas can become steep or slippery, particularly following poor weather.
H&DAA Rules
All members fishing Blue Lagoon must comply with the current Hull & District Anglers’ Association Rules and observe all notices displayed at the fishery. Night fishing is not permitted at this venue.
Hull & District Anglers’ Association
Membership of HDAA is open to anyone who agrees to abide by our common-sense Fishery Rules. All membership permits run from 1st Jan to 31st December annually. Membership allows angling on most of the Association’s venues from 5.00am to 10.00pm (except Carlton on Trent where the start time is 7.00am).
