Catch of the Month & Record Fish

Caught something special on an H&DAA water? We’d love to hear about it!

Whether you’ve landed a personal best, enjoyed an exceptional day’s fishing or caught a potential Association record, enter your catch for the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Entries can feature a single fish or several fish from the same session. All species found in Association waters are eligible, and there’s no limit to the number of entries you can submit.

The deadline for annual competition entries is 30 September each year. Please ensure your entry and photographs are submitted in time.

• Photographs: At least one clear photograph must accompany each entry. This should show the fish being held by the angler or another person, or with an item of tackle alongside it to indicate size.
• Witnesses: Where possible, catches should be verified by a witness who observed the weighing. Preferably, this should be someone outside the angler’s family.
• Junior entries: Witnesses for junior entries should be adults.
• No witness? You may still enter. The absence of a witness does not automatically invalidate an entry, although independent verification can strengthen it.
• Eligible fish: All species present in Association waters qualify. Both individual fish and multiple-fish catches may be submitted.
• Judging: Factors including fish size and the venue where it was caught will be considered by Association delegates.
• Final decisions: The delegates’ decisions are final.
