Association membership allows angling between the hours of 5am and 10pm (7am and 10pm at Carlton-on-Trent). Outside of these hours night permits are issued on many of our fisheries. These are shown below in various classes and all enquiries regarding night permits should be made to Neil Dawson on 07983 877284 or email at: neil1961hdaa@gmail.com
You can add your name to the waiting lists below. The lists are updated regularly and in the strict order of application date and time.
When you are in a position to be offered a night permit you will be contacted by the Night Permit Secretary (Neil). This is about mid-January each year, so it is advisable to look out for an email or text message around this time if you are on the waiting lists. If you are not a Hull & DAA member you will not be offered a night permit and your name will be removed from the waiting list.
Contacting people on the waiting list to offer them a night permit is a complicated and time consuming job. We contact those on the waiting list by email and phone. We do not write by post or knock on people’s doors. If those contact details are out of date or we don’t get a timely response we then move onto the next person on the list. Those that do not get back to us are therefore assumed to have either given up wanting a night permit, moved away, ceased angling or died, or simply can’t be bothered to respond. It is your responsibility to keep your contact details up to date and this can be done on the renewal forms issued each year, on the tear off card on the back of the information book or here on the website.
Please Note: There is a non-negotiable 60-day time limit for anyone to contact Neil Dawson who believes they have not been offered a night permit through an error or omission. The 60 days begins from when the new night permit lists are published on the Association Facebook page around Feb/March each year.

PurchaseThe £20 Guest Night Permit allows EXISTING MEMBERS ONLY to night fish the following waters between the 1st NOVEMBER and 31st MARCH: Motorway Pond, Grebe Pond, Hawk Pond, Osprey Pond, Tilery Lake, Windmill Pond, Brickyard Pond and all the Association’s Brandesburton Ponds (No 2, 3&4, Burshill A and Burshill B). To make this absolutely clear, these guest permits ONLY apply to existing Hull & DAA members, NOT to non-members.
The Guest Night Permit MUST be purchased at least 24 hours BEFORE fishing and you must carry a paper printout with you or a copy on your phone (that will be automatically emailed to you) for bailiff checks. If you do not give 24 hours notice the permit will be invalid and you will be classed as fishing without permission and breaching the rules, thereby putting your membership at risk.
All night permits, and the Osprey permit and Platinum permit are issued in limited numbers and regulated through waiting lists, which are published on the Association website and updated at intervals. Further details can be obtained from the Night Permit Secretary, Neil Dawson, on 07983 877284 or by writing to the Association.
