Small pieces of memorabilia that tell a remarkable story of Association pride and national angling success.
Our archives contain four historic Association pin and lapel badges, alongside two rare medals commemorating H&DAA’s victories in the National Angling Championships.
The exact dates of the badges are uncertain. However, a photograph taken in May 1970 appears to show Association registrar Dave Rennardson wearing one while stocking Stamps Pond with bream.
Among the most treasured items in the collection are two team winner’s medals, marking the Association’s only two victories in the NFA National Championships.

An Unanswered Question
When Were the Badges Issued?
The Association’s long-serving members have been unable to establish precisely when these badges were produced. If you remember wearing one, or have an example of your own, we’d love to hear from you.
Do you have old Association badges, medals, photographs or other memorabilia? Your memories and contributions could help us fill in the gaps in our history.
