Enjoy fishing beyond normal Association hours with our range of night permits, available across selected H&DAA fisheries.
Night permits are issued in limited numbers to protect our fisheries and provide a quality angling experience. Annual permits are allocated through waiting lists, maintained in strict order of application.
You must remain a current H&DAA member to hold a night permit or retain your place on a waiting list. Members who do not renew by 1 July each year will be removed from the waiting lists.
Check the annual permit required for each fishery. The right-hand column lists other permits that include the same night-fishing entitlement.
A Class includes all B Class waters. An Osprey permit also includes all B Class waters. You do not need a separate B Class permit if you hold either of these.
Platinum covers every H&DAA water where night fishing is authorised, including Osprey, Lakewood and Carlton-on-Trent. Individual fishery rules still apply.

Only applicants offered a Platinum Permit should purchase one. This is not an open application process.
£20 per permit · Existing H&DAA members only
Guest Night Permits allow existing members to night fish selected waters between 1 November and 31 March.
Eligible waters: Motorway Pond, Grebe Pond, Hawk Pond, Osprey Pond, Windmill Pond, Brickyard Pond, Brandesburton No. 2, Brandesburton No. 3 & 4, Burshill A and Burshill B.
Purchase at least 24 hours before fishing and carry a printed or electronic copy for inspection by an Association bailiff. Purchases with less notice are invalid; fishing without a valid permit may put your membership at risk.
The booking form is normally available from late October to the end of March.
Waiting lists are maintained in strict order of application date and time. Applicants must provide their membership number and remain current H&DAA members.
When a permit becomes available, the Night Permit Secretary contacts the next eligible member, usually from mid-January, using the contact details on their membership record. Keep your details up to date and respond promptly. If you cannot be contacted, the offer may pass to the next eligible member.
If your position appears incorrect, contact the Night Permit Secretary immediately. Retrospective amendments cannot be made at a later date.
Concerns about a missed allocation through error or omission must be raised within 60 days of the new lists being published on the Association Facebook page, normally in February or March.
All permit holders must comply with the current H&DAA Rules and any additional fishery restrictions. A night permit does not override venue-specific rules.
