Hull & District Anglers’ Association

Specimen Fish Competition

The Association will award prizes for specimen fish caught in its fisheries each year. The competition runs from 1st of October to 30th September each year.

The first prize in the adult section will be £50, with a membership permit for the following year awarded for the second and third best fish.  The top prize in the juvenile section will be fishing tackle to the value of £50, with membership permits for the second and third best fish.

All species of fish that are present in Association waters will qualify and judging will take place in October of each year by the Association's Delegates at the AGM.  Their decision will be final.

All factors surrounding the entries will be taken into consideration, including the size of the fish, the fishery where the capture was made etc,  so include as many details as possible. Please Note you do not have to beat the current Club Records listed in the table below to enter.  A photograph of the fish and the name and address of an independent witness who saw the fish being weighed must also be included with all entries.  In the case of a juvenile entry the witness must be an adult.

There is no limit to the number of entries each person may make.  If you would like to enter please contact the Fisheries Information Officer Mail: specimenfish@hdaafishing.co.uk. Closing date for entries is September 30th.
