Hull & District Anglers’ Association

Brandesburton No 3 & 4 Pond

No 3 & 4 Pond is a gravel pit of about eight acres and this picturesque water is one of the Association's most popular fisheries.

The water holds a large head of carp which have grown well since their introduction several years ago. They mainly consist of upper doubles but there are also several 20lb-plus fish. An ideal water for both beginner and the more advanced angler, the carp will respond to most baits and, given the right conditions, several fish can be taken in a session.

Throughout the winter the water is popular with pike anglers who can expect to catch some good-sized fish.

Large numbers of bream are also present, with bags of over 100lb having being reported. Fish up to 9lb have been taken and, generally, they are not fussy and will readily take maggots, casters, sweet corn, worm and even boilies.

For the pleasure angler, who is happy just to fish maggots on the pole, there are plenty of roach and perch, with the chance of the odd bigger fish. This excellent mixed fishery offers something for most anglers.
